And the debate continues......

Once again the issue of childcare, working parents and stay at home parents has been brought into the spot light. The person responsible for bringing this issue up once again was author Mem Fox. As usual, the starter of the debate is someone who had the option and the perfect job for staying home. People like this should not comment on the situations of other families. No one should.
I myself am a stay at home mum. But if the childcare was available I would be apart of the work force making a contribution to the house hold income and being able to feel like I was doing something for myself.
Mem Fox brought up the issue of "If you are going to put your children into childcare then why have children at all". Well you know what Mem, what about those single parents who have to work to pay those bills that keep coming in. What about the low income families that need two salaries to survive. Not everyone has a book deal you know........
Why do women always have to bitch at each other about how they are raising their families. If a mother has to work to support her family then everyone should just say "That is great for her. She must be exhausted doing everything but she is doing something for herself. Good on her." Or if a mother stays at home with her children everyone should say "That's really great that she has the option to stay home. Its good to see that she is doing what she wants to do."
Come on girls, stop bitching and start supporting.
